Once an old farmer had three sons. They

The ant and the cicada

The blazing sun beat down, and the endless fields were full of golden

Winter came and the ant stayed snug at home. One morning,

The sun came out and the ant brought its grain out to dry. A cicada, faint with hunger, flew

"In autumn I was busy playing every day and enjoying myself, with no time to carry grain

“ó哦！”mǎ蚂yǐ蚁dǎ打duàn断le了zhī知liǎo了de的huà话，shuō说：“qiū秋tiān天nǐ你bù不gàn干huó活er儿，

"Ah!" the ant broke in. "In autumn you did not work,

dōng冬tiān天dāng当rán然jiù就méi没yǒu有dōng东xī西chī吃。wǒ我men们zhǐ只bāng帮zhù助qín勤láo劳de的rén人，bù不bāng帮zhù助nà那xiē些

…of course you have nothing to eat in winter. We help only those who work, not those
