📖 English Explanation:

In this lesson, we learn how to introduce another person in Chinese. You already learned: 这是谁？ (Who is this?) Now we learn another very common question: 他是谁？ (Who is he?)

Chinese uses different pronouns depending on who you talk about:
  • 我 — I / me
  • 你 — you
  • 他 — he
  • 她 — she
These are some of the most important words in Chinese.
1️⃣ 他 (tā) — he
Example:
他tā是shì老lǎo师shī。— He is a teacher.
他tā是shì学xué生shēng。— He is a student.
2️⃣ 她 (tā) — she
Note: 她 also sounds tā, but it means she.
Example:
她tā是shì我wǒ的de朋péng友yǒu。— She is my friend.
3️⃣ 他是谁？ — Who is he?
Structure: 他 + 是 + 谁
Possible answers:
他tā是shì我wǒ的de老lǎo师shī。— He is my teacher.
他tā是shì我wǒ的de朋péng友yǒu。— He is my friend.
4️⃣ 和 (hé) — and / with
Example:
我wǒ和hé他tā学xué习xí中Zhōng文wén。— I study Chinese with him.
我wǒ和hé朋péng友yǒu一yī起qǐ吃chī饭fàn。— I eat with my friend.
